Artist: AFLAME
Title: In My House

"In My House," the eagerly awaited followup to AFLAME's 1997 debut, shows the band's mature, focused musical style and showcases the impressive talents of its current four-man lineup. Exploring the territory between acoustic and electric worlds, the varied arrangements juxtapose layered acoustic and electric guitars with keyboards and backing vocals to create a vibrant and exciting yet personal sound. The lyrics tackle issues of life and faith within the perspective of contemporary reality of youth culture-from searching and doubting to acceptance and celebration. The paired vocals of Ryan Aakre and Scott Flaten weave an intricate melodic and harmonic path through many of the songs, while others spotlight each vocalist's solo style--crowned by the band's signature tight and rich vocal harmonies. The driving rhythm section of bassist Ryan Sickels and drummer Steve Roux fuels a rock-solid foundation for the outstanding guitar and keyboard work of multi-talented Scott Flaten. AFLAME tours throughout the Midwest with full production, performing at festivals, churches, camps and coffeehouses.

Artist: AFLAME
Title: The Goods

AFLAME's debut recording has a dramatic story: they began the project in a studio in Grand Forks, North Dakota, only to see their nearly-completed master tapes go up in flames when the disastrous Flood of 1997 nearly destroyed the entire city. Floodwaters engulfed the area and several buildings in downtown Grand Forks (including their recording studio) burned to the ground. Starting over from scratch at Raptor Studios in Fargo, AFLAME created an inspiring debut which spans contemporary musical styles from acoustic songs lush in harmony vocals to intense electric guitar-driven rockers. AFLAME's roster at this time also included vocalist/guitarist Michael Roux, whose ballad-style songwriting talent is showcased on several songs. "The Goods" has been a strong retail seller throughout the region.

Title: Festival of Goodwill--Gemini: Solar Fire Ritual
The University of the Seven Rays is a non-profit alternative institution of higher education granting degrees in the esoteric arts and sciences. The mission of the University of the Seven Rays is spiritual and its programs of study are primarily designed to strengthen spiritual will, spiritual love and practical spiritual intelligence in its students. All academic curricula are based upon the esoteric doctrine known as the"Ageless Wisdom" or the "Trans-Himalayan Wisdom," derived from the teachings of the Christ, the Buddha, and other spiritual masters, with special emphasis on the writings of the Tibetan Master Djwhal Khul. Artist: University of the Seven Rays
Title: Festival of Wesak--Taurus: Solar Fire Ritual
(From liner notes): Every month at the time of the full moon, humanity is presented with a great spiritual, meditative opportunity to contact and distribute the subtle energies of one of the twelve signes of the zodiac and of its "ruling planets." These potent monthly alignments are known in the "Ageless Wisdom" as spiritual festivals and, increasingly, as "Solar Fire Festivals." Solar Fire is the subtle, subjective energy of Love-Wisdom which emanates from the "Heart of God"--the Heart of the Sun.
Three of these Solar Fire Festivals are of greater significance than the other nine. These three are the Easter Festival (which celebrates the resurrection of the Christ Spirit in the hearts and minds of humanity), the Wesak Festival (a great Eastern festival taking place at the time of the Taurus Full Moon and which celebrates the inspiring, yearly return of the Buddha before the assembled Spiritual Hierarchy of our planet) and the Festival of the Christ occuring at the Gemini full moon (see first CD, above).
It is hoped that the music composed for the Wesak Festival will enhance the sense of its reality and its unparalleled importance in inspiring humanity to greater illumination, and a greater understanding and expression of the spiritual will. The mantram for this great spiritual festival can be expressed as follows: "I see, and when the eye is opened, all is illumined." May the "Eye of the Bull" open for all who sincerely love and serve their fellow human beings!....
Artist: University of the Seven Rays
Title: Festival of the Will--Electric Fire Ritual (Double CD)
(From liner notes): The Will is the "energy of the hour." Humanity has reached a point in its evolution when it is, at last, ready and able to understand, appropriate and express a measure of the Divine Will emanating from Shamballa. Shamballa, the planetary "Center where the Will of God is known," is now focussing a direct impact of its energy (the Shamballa Force) upon humanity, and will do so increasingly in centuries to come. Such impacts are very rare in the 18,000 ,000 year history of human development and have usually been catastrophic both for humanity and the planet. The "Shamballa Impact" of the year 2000 is to be less destructive, and signals a powerful, potential turning point for the human race if it can begin to rise selflessly towards its "higher spiritual possibilities." It is hoped that the music composed for the Festival of the Will will promote this empowering revolution..
